Telehealth/Telephone Policy

 

As of 27/03/2024 we are changing the way we conduct telehealth consultations. A private fee of $80 applies with a Medicare rebate $41.40. Please read below.

 

Terms and conditions for telehealth/telephone:

  • The patient must be a regular patient of the practice.

  • The patient must have consulted face-to-face by one of our doctors in the last 6 months.

  • The doctor will try to call you as close to your appointment time as possible, however please allow up to 2 hours in case of unexpected emergencies.

  • If you fail to answer the call 2 or more times, the appointment may need to be rescheduled. 

  • Failure to make payment when requested to do so will prevent you from booking subsequent appointments until the outstanding balance is paid.

 

Please note telephone consults are at the doctor's clinical discretion, you may still be required to come in face-to-face for examination. 

Telephone appointments are available for:

  • Prescription renewal

  • Results follow up (only available with the same doctor who referred you for the test)

  • Medical Certificates

  • COVID-19 Infection
