Dr Ranil Perera

FRACGP, DCH

Dr Perera is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) with extensive experience across all aspects of general practice. He has a strong background in emergency medicine, having worked for many years in tertiary care hospitals, as well as extensive experience in rural general practice. Dr Perera has a special interest in paediatrics and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney. He has also completed advanced training in skin cancer medicine through the Skin Cancer College Australasia and Monash University, equipping him with the expertise to providea comprehensive skin cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment, and management. In addition, he manages a broad range of dermatological conditions commonly seen in general practice, including eczema, acne, dermatitis, and skin infections. He also performs a variety of minor surgical procedures, including skin lesion excisions, biopsies, and incision and drainage of abscesses.

 

Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, Dr Perera values building long-term relationships with his patients and believes in the importance of continuity of care. He provides comprehensive, evidence-based healthcare for individuals and families at every stage of life, with a strong focus on preventive medicine, early intervention, chronic disease management, and patient education. 

 

Dr Ranil is available Monday to Friday and operates on a mixed billing fee structure (gap fee applies except for Pensioners and Children U16yo).

Dr Simin Ghoochani

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Ghoochani is a female with more than 10 years of experience. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
Dr Simin is a member of the Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA), and she has an Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy from the college. Dr Simin is also proudly a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM) and has a Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine. She provides professional dermatology and aesthetic consultations regarding dermatitis, rash, acne treatment, cosmetics and chemical peeling.


Dr Simin is available Monday to Friday and speaks Farsi.​ She operates under a mixed billing fee structure (gap fee applies except Pensioners and Children U16yo)

Dr Jing Rao
MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Jing is an experienced female GP. She trained as a dermatologist in China before coming to Australia and undergoing training as a GP more than 15 years ago. Dr Jing has a special interest in skin problems and skin cancer treatment.
 
Dr Jing also speaks Mandarin and is available Monday, Wednesday, Friday and every second Sunday.
Dr Rao operates on a mixed billing fee structure. She charges an out of pocket fee for all patients except Pensioners and Children under 16.

Dr Geoff Darvas
MBBS

Dr Darvas is an experienced GP who has a special interest in the health and well being of children.

 

Dr Darvas sees children and young adults aged up to 19 years old only, by appointment only, Monday and Thursdays.  

 

An out of pocket expense is payable to see Dr Darvas. If you are a Pension/Concession card holder please provide to reception staff.

Dr Laura Schotte

MD, FRACGP

Dr Laura is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General
Practitioners, and enjoys providing comprehensive,
patient-centred care across all stages of life. 
She completed her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Queensland and has practiced in rural and regional Queensland, as well as in Port Macquarie, NSW more recently.
She is interested in preventative care and has experience in procedures including but not limited
to implanon insertion/removal, sutures, and simple skin biopsies or excisions. Outside of work Dr Laura enjoys cooking and other crafty pursuits.

Dr Laura is available Monday to Thursday from 8:30am-4pm by appointment.

Dr Ajanthy Arulanantham

MBBS, FRACGP

Dr AJ was previously working in Bathurst NSW as a family GP.

 

She has a special interest in women's and children's health as well as general minor surgeries.

Dr AJ is available Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays. Dr AJ operates under a mixed billing fee structure (gap fee applies except Pensioners and Children U16yo).

Dr Jaya Bindiganavale

MBBS

Dr Jaya is a very experienced female GP. Before coming to Hornsby she had her own family practice on the Central Coast for 30 years. She covers all aspects of family care.
 
Dr Jaya speaks Hindi, Tamil and Kannada and is available Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and alternate Sundays. Dr Jaya still bulk bills for most simple one-issue consultations.

Dr Marlin Dawod
MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Dawod is an experienced female GP. Dr Dawod has a wealth of experience and has a special interest in women and children's health. She has completed a Diploma in Child Health.

 

Dr Dawod is available on Saturdays. Dr Dawod operates on a mixed billing structure, with bulk billing available to Pensioners and Children U16yo.
